The SWAP-Scorecard assessment was conducted in Egypt in November 2016 at the end of the 2013-2017 UNDAF cycle. Egypt’s UNDAF was prepared in 2010 based on the ‘2010 Situation Analysis: Key Development Challenges Facing Egypt’. A first draft of the framework was finalized in early 2011. Revolution and unrest in 2011 delayed the signing of the UNDAF to ensure that changing contexts and emerging opportunities and issues were reflected in the work of the UN. The UNDAF was reviewed and revised in 2012 in close collaboration with the Government of Egypt and its national and international development partners to ensure the relevance and accuracy of planning to reflect national priorities.
