Delivering as One has proven in Latin America and the Caribbean to improve the UN system’s focus on working together towards achieving national development results, makes the best use of the mandates and expertise of the entire UN system to deliver results, and promotes the values, norms, and standards of the UN in a coherent and consistent manner. As of December 2016, there are 7 Delivering as One countries in the region: El Salvador, Honduras, Guyana, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
The Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) provide to UN country teams, governments and partners an integrated package of clear, straightforward and internally consistent guidance on programming, leadership, business operations, funding and communications for country-level development operations. The SOPs are universally applicable and serve as a tool to support UN country teams delivering better together to strategically support countries to implement the Sustainable Development Goals.
