UNDG at the Global Level

The United Nations Development Group (UNDG) unites the 32 UN funds, programmes, specialized agencies, departments, and offices that play a role in development. Since 2008, the UNDG has been one of the three pillars of the UN System Chief Executives Board for Coordination, the highest-level coordination forum of the United Nations system.

UNDG at the Regional Level

The key role of Regional UNDG Teams is to provide leadership, strategic guidance and support to Resident Coordinators and UN Country Teams for the achievement of country level results.

UN at the Country Level

At the country level, UN Resident Coordinators and UN country teams implement the UNDG strategic priorities by identifying the national policies, programmes and capacity development gaps and challenges, to which the UN system can best contribute under national ownership and leadership by mobilizing the full range of mandates and expertise of the UN development system.
